| #1 Alexander's--This long established restaurant is a winner. In Palmetto Dunes-suggest
reservations. Great atmosphere and consistently great food.
Is higher priced and steak is as good as the fish (try the fillet
oscar!). |
| #2 Mellow Mushroom--Pizza with the best crust and
toppings. Fun
atmosphere, vibe, and great pizza! Get Mellow with this huge beer
selection. (All pizza has crust & topping) |
| #3 Santa Fe Care--We were late in finding
this one, but it is a winner. Terrific food, drinks, &
atmosphere. Try the roof if you can get in.

| #4 Scott's Fish Market--Try the Daily
Seafood specials. Combined with the live entertainment it's hard
to beat. At Shelter Cove. Suggest reservations. |
| #5 Salty Dog Cafe--The old standard still is
great if you want an overpriced, but good burger or pizza in a scenic
outdoor setting at South Beach in Sea Pines. Make sure to at least go and have a drink a buy a T-Shirt!

especially love outdoor seating --Try the Hurricane Bar next door

but worth it. |

Choice)--Big menu, reasonably priced, fun bar--lots of TV's and
sports. |

Grouper Melt--but the beer selection must improve! |
| Bonus Pick--Bomboros--Local
Bengals Bar--make sure to try the Westbrook IPA--Food, small plates
pretty good. |

really a restaurant, but check out a tasting--beer or wine--fun! |

items
Food, Videos, Coffee
Palmetto Dunes General Store--this place is a life saver. Kinda'
expensive, but fun for the kids and the adults. From the
frozen yogurt, to the candy by the pound, to the drinks,
and breakfast menu in the morning this place will be on your
"must visit" list. If you want a USA Today make sure you
get there by 9:30 am.
Groceries
Kroger--Huge new store at Shelter cove (closer to
Palmetto Dunes).
Reasonable Prices plus a fake Starbucks.
Publix--For grocery stores this one is the best.
Located at Palmetto Bay Road 843-842-2632
at Island Crossing Shopping Center (by the Sea Pines Circle)
Signes Bakery--Consider visiting Signees for fresh baked
bread (incredible), a great, fresh breakfast and just a fun
different meal. For lunch or brunch--great!

Starbucks--If it's not too hot for java get your caffeine
intake here. Right across the parking lot from Publix it's
one stop shopping (if you have to shop!)

The Marriott--the Hotel is right next door.
Nice outdoor bar, sometimes with Music.

The newly remodeled Dunes House Restaurant Bar is to the
right of the Marriott.
Pretty good menu--prices higher than I'd like them to be.
A two minute walk from Villamare.
